Beds4Vets Managed to Help Settle Four Veterans into their New Apartments.

Hard to believe it has been just a couple of months since this game-changing moment when the Salute to Service campaign with Hockessin Athletic Club wrapped up with this check presentation. In that time, we have put your donations to work. While HUD and the VA have found it challenging to find affordable housing for veterans transitioning from homelessness, Beds4Vets managed to help settle four veterans in that time into their new apartments. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more information as they have agreed to share their stories. I’m sure you all can understand why some veterans, no matter how bravely they have resolved to overcome their homelessness, are hesitant to recount the details. It is not something many are proud of. It’s not how you start, but how you finish, that defines character. I look forward to telling more about them and how B4V is making a difference in the lives of veterans in our community.
